Even during times of change and uncertainty, strong leadership shines through. Today, we had the opportunity to spend time with several incredible educators whose schools were part of the closures. These leaders continue to show what it means to put students first, supporting their teams, lifting their communities, and helping guide their campuses through transition with strength and grace. Motivating leaders through change means standing together, listening to one another, and continuing to plan for the best possible future for our students and for Fort Bend ISD. Members of Fort Bend ISD's Student Advisory Network recently presented ideas to administrative leaders on ways to enhance the student experience across the district. Their recommendations included strategies to help students better navigate the transition from middle school to high school, as well as ideas for increasing awareness of the district’s mental health resources and other supports available to students. FBISD’s Student Voices program brings together students from all 12 high schools for monthly leadership meetings. Through this initiative, students build leadership skills, engage in service and advocacy, and provide valuable feedback to district leaders on policies, programs, and the overall student experience.

Bleil Heritage Award by the Fort Bend County Historical Commission. This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who have made meaningful contributions to preserving and sharing Fort Bend County's rich history. Through her leadership and passion for community storytelling, Chassidy has helped highlight important historical narratives that connect our past to our future. 🐎🎨Big Wins for FBISD in the @RODEOHOUSTON School Art Contest! Nine FBISD student artists were selected as auction finalists in the 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Contest — one of the highest honors in Texas for visual arts students! A special congratulations to @CHS_Rangers Reserve Grand Champion Mingyi Li for her incredible achievement! FBISD is also proud to receive the prestigious Super Show Hall of Fame Award that highlights school districts with outstanding participation and overall excellence in the art competition. The Fort Bend Independent School District will conduct a public preview on the upcoming textbooks and instructional materials that are under consideration for adoption for the 2026-2027 school year. The public review takes place from March 9, 2026, through March 13, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at the FBISD Education Complex (located at 1555 Independence Blvd. Missouri City, Texas 77489). The warehouse entrance is located on the right side of the building facing Texas Parkway.
