This attitude really bugs me because like yeah I really don’t like trans I would give up all I could to not be! Would spare me a lot of grief if I wasn’t! My bad for being upset with my less than ideal circumstances I guess it’s my fault I should just put up with it

It's interesting how gaming is like the one medium where the barrier between children's and adult entertainment doesn't really exist. Like the categories exist but nobody thinks you're odd for playing Donkey Kong

@eathedocument Reading/watching anything that is for a younger age group always makes me enter a parent like mode where I exclusively think about if I would be fine with my hypothetical child reading/watching it. That’s the only way I can really engage with it everything’s so surface level

this is going to sound pretentious but i don’t know how adults read YA novels and YA novels only. i’m reading one now because a friend recommended it to me and it’s not bad at all, but its so clearly meant for teenagers. i can’t imagine choosing to only read books at this level.

Why are people mad about this? It's not about poverty of language, it's about the inexplicability of (still) using 12 as a unit of measurement. Why 12? It feels arbitrary and probably derives from historical conventions and considerations that are no longer relevant.
