@DougStanhope I heard something like that happened to Shorty. Remember him? Round table at the front of the Grand. Dwight Yoakam wanted one of Shorty’s Gibson guitars, a rare L5. Instead of writing a dollar amount, Yoakam signed a blank check and told Shorty to write an amount. He didn’t.

Has anyone ever been in a situation where someone actually wrote down a dollar amount and slid it across the table? Rather than just say it? Why is this such a staple in movies?

@adamheimlich Have some good hard wood around. I think we’ll make it through the last throes of winter. 😉Despite not getting quite as cold or snowy as we can get, this winter has actually been chillier on the whole than most of the last several winters -if that makes sense. No complaints tho!
