@hiitsmemooneh There’s a time and place. Whilst cheering/applauding the end of a song? Absolutely. Great way to show appreciation. During a speech, playing a slow delicate piano? Not the time to be “Main Character”. Whatever your culture. Appreciation is fab. Disturbing is not.

I know this topic is old now, but I still wanted to say something. I’m from the Middle East and I share the exact same cultural background as that girl. Even so, I don’t like the yodeling either. What I’m sick of is the double standard: people from Middle East who move to the West and trash every single thing about American culture without hesitation. But the moment an American (or anyone) says they don’t like one thing from our culture, they immediately panic, scream “Islamophobe,” and try to cancel them. It’s ridiculous, especially since that same noise is made by people of other religions in the Middle East too. completely irrelevant. Sabrina Carpenter, you didn’t have to apologize. You did nothing wrong. Period.

My first job was in a gynaecology ward when I qualified as a nurse So many suction terminations were done Monday to Friday up to 12 weeks gestation. In the same ward were Pregnant ladies threatening to miscarry. They look like little tiny babies and at 12 weeks they are perfect and only need to grow in size. Little fingers and toes nose mouth. Perfect. Unaware of what is about to happen. Then they are ripped to pieces with a suction catheter and often, have their little skulls crushed before these are sucked down the same tube.
