In a new study published with @morenomancosu, @kymalah and @giulianobobba we find what everybody thought but now we even have empirical backing for it: in Italy, right-wing citizens feel more victimized than those on the left or in the center. Why? We'll see in the next episode.

Una delle leggende metropolitane dei trolletti e dei libbozzi è che i dipendenti pubblici non pagano le tasse perché sono essi stessi tasse. Cioè non creano valore ma lo estraggono. È una cazzata colossale. Immaginate quanto valore creerebbero i privati senza le infrastrutture collettive, i beni pubblici, le regole, la protezione dei diritti, eccetera eccetera, garantita dall’azione pubblica. Lo stesso capitalismo non sarebbe mai nato e non si sarebbe mai diffuso senza l’azione degli Stati. Quindi cari trolletti e libbozzi fatevene una ragione: ogni volta che incontrate un dipendente pubblico ringraziatelo perché è vostro socio nella creazione di valore.
