Keyboard Cat is one of the earliest examples of the internet turning absolute nonsense into history.
The original cat was Fatso, filmed by Charlie Schmidt back in 1984, decades before the clip became famous. It was uploaded to YouTube in 2007, then exploded in 2009 when people started using it to “play off” fails, awkward moments, and public embarrassment.
Before reaction memes became a whole language, this cat was already ending careers with a keyboard.
