@BBCLookEast major industrial area fire in #Hitchin this morning. It broke out between 0100 and 0400 and appears to be in the Cadwell Lane area. Firefighters have deployed a drone and multiple appliances are attending.

Firefighters are dealing with a large hay stack fire just off the A361 at Byfield in south Northamptonshire. A Daventry crew has been tackling the 45m x 15m stack fire since 1230 and the incident is causing a large amount of smoke in the area, but the blaze is under control.

Grateful to ⁦@northantsfire⁩ for tackling a blaze in an empty ⁦@AlthorpHouse⁩ industrial unit this afternoon. Eyewitnesses heard bangs, & saw “youths in balaclavas” running & biking away - then saw the smoke and flames. Thankfully no one hurt, & the trees seem safe.
