@NytoP2PMwangi Mitigating factor: it is her word "rape" and his word: "consented by dint of her accepting to join him in hotel" "claim he paid money in cash" "claim: there was no agreement on specific amount" claim: seminal fluid in her was based on consentual prnetration.

Legendary Musician Matonya is currently at Shimo La Tewa Prison, Mombasa Kenya and could spend the rest of his life behind bars. The Tanzania superstar has been in Kenya since October last year. Last weekend, The Tanzanian went to a high-end hotel in Nyali Mombasa. There, he met a høokup lady and they agreed on the terms and conditions . They Proceeded to his hotel room and After finishing in front, he asked to access the back door. The lady declined unless he added more money. The “Anita and Vaileti” hitmaker agreed to pay extra cash. But Once they finished their business, the lady demanded an additional KSh 50,000. Matonya refused. She lowered it to KSh 30,000, but he still declined to pay for the extra service. The lady stormed out of the hotel room and as expected, She reported that she had been Rapped at Nyali Police station, Mombasa! A medical examination was carried out immediately. According to reports, it supported the lady’s claim. With such hard evidence, and knowing he went for a high-class operator who knows exactly what she’s doing, the guy is in hot soup! Crimes like múrder, défilement, and rápe (especially with strong medical evidence) are very difficult to withdraw or settle out of court. The guy might rot in jail.

Let me dumb this down for you "learned folk'. A bullet does ~3,000 km/h. NASA says these guys hit Earth at 40,000 km/h — that’s 10+ bullets stacked together… but somehow slow down using parachutes and land safely in the ocean Uber Boat style? So a bullet shreds flesh instantly but a human in a metal flask can hit the atmosphere at 10× that speed, turn into a flying fireball, lose signal, cook the outside to hell and still land like it’s a beach holiday? But yeah… “trust the heat shield.” After this make sure you get your booster to fry your brain further

I got hired to clean a house where a dad lives with his two teenage sons. I thought it would be a simple in-and-out job… just come, do my thing, and leave quietly. But the first day I walked in, I just paused and looked around like, “yo, we have a lot to do here” 😭 Everywhere needed attention, and before I could even stop myself, I switched from cleaner to commander. I started assigning tasks like I’d known them my whole life. “You, go and fix that closet.” “You, please sweep outside.” I just started directing traffic. In my mind, I was convinced that was my first and last day. I mean, who sends their cleaner and she starts giving everybody instructions? I already told myself, “yeah, don’t expect a callback.” But they called me back. Not only that, they gave…

Have you ever thought about how much billboard companies pay to Nairobi City County, and whether it’s actually worth having all these billboards? The city is slowly being veiled and covered by billboards along major highways. Large unipole billboards only pay about KSh 100,000 per year to the county, yet they charge clients between KSh 350,000 and KSh 900,000 per month depending on location. Even after costs, a single billboard can easily make around KSh 5 million per year, which is roughly KSh 400,000 per month in profit. The construction cost is also not very high. With about KSh 7 million, you can have a billboard erected, including county approval costs. But as usual, it appears to be a cartel-controlled business where a few people , including city politicians, benefit from this very lucrative industry. People spend KSh 40 million or more building commercial blocks that remain half empty with 50% occupancy, or buy matatus and end up knowing all the garages in town and every spare part by name. Meanwhile, someone else earns passive income from a billboard with almost no monthly overheads like salaries. To protect the city from being completely covered by billboards, the county government should change the charging model. Instead of a flat fee, the county should charge a percentage , maybe 30% of the annual billboard income. The number of billboards allowed per kilometre of road should also be regulated. We will never escape urban decay if people are making millions from public space and paying almost nothing back to the city. But again, some key politicians are said to own these companies, so they have no incentive to regulate the business !!!

@dmericoh @rigyoguda Sometimes we don't pay for the actual cost of the product. We pay for the brand, the convenience, quality, prestige, safety, assurance, ambience, presentation etc. A 300ml of soda goes for 60/- at Kibandaski, but 300/- at some nice hotel.

KRA has proposed to remove the VAT registration threshold. Currently, - If your business makes less than KSh 5M a year, you are not required to register for VAT. - Once you cross that threshold, you are a big boy or girl. You must register and charge VAT. If this proposal passes, Every business, regardless of size, becomes a VAT agent. Talk of: - Kiosks - Shops - Salons - Freelancers - Posho mills et al. They will be required to: - Register for VAT - Charge 16% VAT on taxable goods and services - Issue eTIMS invoices - File monthly VAT returns - Remit the tax to KRA To the govt, this means: - The tax base is widened and as a result, - More tax is collected. To the small traders: - For the 1st time, they will claim input VAT paid on purchases. - Compliance costs will go up. (Record keeping, software/tools, and accountant fees.) - Blood pressure will rise from fear of fines & penalties for late filing or non-remittance. - Some traders will move to cash only transactions to stay invisible. The proposal is still under consultation and requires parliamentary approval. Why do you support or reject this proposal?
