@SamantLab Yes! Thank you for the suggestion, I was just thinking about the best way to share the high quality versions. ☺️ I'll check bioicons out!

Starting to build up my own library of figures for use in scientific stuff- publications, presentations, teaching :) Nothing particularly complicated, but I do like having complete control over size, colour and shape :)

It is finally out! The paper from my postdoctoral work at the Lynch lab, where we investigated how the brood parasitic brain diverged from closely related parental species. Full article published in @Genes2B: doi.org/10.1111/gbb.12…. A thread. (1/5)

I want to thank my advisor Kathleen Lynch @bozworth70 for the opportunity to work with such amazing birds, and to the great team of undergraduate researchers at Hofstra University, who were key to the success of this project! (5/5)

MT-treated cowbirds showed a trend of higher levels of prolactin receptor transcript in the preoptic area than their controls (p = 0.058) and comparable to levels found in red-winged blackbirds regardless of treatment. (4/5)
