Anyone have a paddock/field that cows just won’t eat …reseeded this paddock last April ..indexes good ,ph fine not pumped with slurry or chemical fert .cows don’t milk well on it either

@kieran_kigr @JerryMoloney1 Get a fert with sodium in it that will help and take a grass sample for minerals sometimes the reseed has access to new minerals after its been ploughed

@JerryMoloney1 First paddock reseeded this year cows not happy in it. Bit high in k. Was last one I mowed as heavy cover and figured they would walk it into ground. Was suggested a bag of gran lime might help 🤷🏽‍♂️ It got it so well see on last round 🤔 Be interesting to see any other suggestions

@grazyfarmer @fergalfitz94 @Paudieb3 @johnphelan81 I thought the same. Did 100 in one day for a sexed semen trial 5/6 years ago. 62% held, which was just above average, but they calved over a wk, didn’t have any crazy day so to speak.

3rd day out on grass , Cows on 2kgs of 21% Nut at the moment, as i have a tonne bag in the yard, and 1 kg of maizemeal. Building them up to 5-6kgs over the nxt few days. Il get advice, but il prob get an 18% Dairy Nut into the bin. #WestCork #GrassToMilk2025🇮🇪🐄
