For all those who thought a young 12th class student was a ‘Pakistani’ - Govt of India doesn’t think so. CBSE has accepted the mistake and issued him his answer sheet.

A student named Vedant flagged a serious discrepancy in CBSE’s new OSM (Online Script Monitoring) system, potential sheet mismatches, evaluation errors that could alter his marks and derail his college admissions. What did he get in return? ‘Pakistani’ tag. Vedant isn’t anti-national. He’s a student with a deadline, a future on the line, and a legitimate grievance that CBSE must address. And he isn’t alone. Multiple students have reported similar OSM glitches. This is a systemic failure, not an isolated complaint. CBSE introduced a new digital evaluation system. With new systems come new errors. Fair investigation. Transparent re-evaluation. Accountability. That’s all Vedant is asking for. Is that really too much for a board that holds millions of futures in its hands? #CBSE #CBSEResults2026 #OSM

Even for thick skinned journos like us, online bullying is a frightening prospect. And here a young kid is being bullied&called names. The govt use provisions of the IT law here and act against online trolls and bullies. It can make an example and stop such trolling in future!

But to claim that Norway is some gold standard of democracy or journalism is to betray ignorance about specific circumstances of individual countries..the West thinks everything can be measured - press freedom and democracy as much as height and weight. The Norwegian journalist lives in her own insulated cocoon..
