Guys, getting a book deal is awesome, but it's not some award for being a good writer, it's a company agreeing with you that they can monetize your intellectual property. Is it something to strive for if you want it, absolutely! But you can't seek self-worth in it.

Do any of you ever feel like a character is following you sometimes? Been writing about a cowboy lately & today 1)every store I went in played country music, 2) I ran across PBR on tv randomly, & 3) I saw 5 guys with cowboy hats & I live in Chicago so wtf?

@jaclynalgie Probably an FBI science paper on the rate at which different pieces of a dismembered corpse (hand, foot, etc) float along a river if dumped in. Lately, though, I’ve looked up how to clean and file horse hooves.

@WriterKathleen @franktmorgan You’re totally right! Her ridiculous author photos on the backs of her hardcovers are the best though, and they just get weirder. The best one I ever saw was her on a staircase in front of a giant portrait of herself. It was like Steele inception… ;)

@franktmorgan there's a bunch of stuff I never liked from the "old days" but in my lifetime...Danielle Steele. She's written the same book 137 times and changed the character names and location. Apparently no one else has noticed.
