@Savigma @diffanalysis Used to be the other way round - useless first half and better in second. Maybe unrealistic to expect us to keep control for 90 minutes. Not getting that second goal was the basic problem - so that we had enough to defend

@ffred_ffransis @diffanalysis Our starting 11 controls games and can easily be leading in most games. The issue is we don’t know how to see out games. Both matches against Belgium and more recently with 4 minutes to go against Bosnia, shouldn’t be crumbling like we often do.

For the standard of players we DO have, that is a failure. For context: Russia, Ivory Coast, Panama, Ukraine, Canada, Algeria, Egypt, Nigeria, South Korea, Ecuador, Austria, Turkey, Switzerland, Japan, Mexico & Iran are all above us. Don’t even try to bring up our squad depth.

@Savigma @diffanalysis What makes them better teams than us - ? Cos I wouldn't go into any match confident of beating practically any of them. In the same way that we would beat current Bosnia at home 7 times out of ten, most of those countries would beat us 7 times out of 10.

@diffanalysis What do you mean by that though? Why are they better teams than us? What ultimately makes them a better team than us? Depending on your answer I COULD agree. But if we’re talking about actual talent & league standard, we have a better team on paper, by a long way.

The difference in the mentality of the each set of fans after the game is staggering. Welsh fans - political, hateful and bitter. Football never mentioned NI fans - potential future stars, better football and a good result with a youthful squad against a full welsh team

@CrisCardotyn @henrysaye Midfielders & defenders certainly not on same wavelength as wide men. They constantly didnt get balls wide to run on to, always to their feet-True of Johnson v Bosnia and Dan James last night. Frustrating for all. Who told them to stay wide ? Only got joy when they moved central

@henrysaye Tactically I thought it interesting how Wales play compared to City. We have 2 wide close together then a midfielder comes in to try and create space. For Wales it felt the wide players weren’t on same wavelength and often further apart, using the pace out wide

We learnt we have very little depth and for Wales to be at their best we need our PL players to turn up and perform. Wilson, Brooks, Williams, Johnson did very little in both games. If they had we had more than enough to qualify. Bosnia couldn’t deal with Dan James.

@Jayfuz 5 days between the two. He was dead on his feet for several minutes before being taken off v Bosnia. After 5 days he apparently was fit enough to do 45 minutes of football if needed - and it sure was needed

Right so why did Dan James come off against Bosnia if he's not injured, Craig?

@scfcthomas Continue with Bellamy. Fans are turning frustration at not qualifying into illogical calls for sackings. 2 years ago, under Page, we beat Finland (same quality as Bosnia) 4-1 in SF. If any of those chances first 60 minutes v Bosnia had put us 2 or 3 up, we'd have done the same

I can’t understand the hatred for Craig Bellamy - we’ve seen drastic improvements in performances and culture since moving on from Rob Page. The Bosnia defeat was disappointing and he got his substitutes wrong but it was always an uphill battle to qualify. The man for 2028 imo.

@ffred_ffransis We shouldn’t have been in a playoffs for the euros in the first place. We were the second seeded team in our group yet failed to finish in the top 2 spots. We also only took 1 point in 2 games against Armenia 😂 his negative tactics cost us the game against Poland

Welsh fans saying managers have favourites. If so, even truer of fans looking at managers. Not only did Rob Page get us to euro2024 play-offs but won SF 4-1 v Finland. And he was still hounded by fans after 0-0 draw in final, and forced to play 2 stupid friendlies with reserves
