@buildonbase we shipped FIBO on @base last month. painful when outages happen, but the speed of the fix and the post-mortem transparency here is why we chose this chain.

On June 25 and 26, Base mainnet experienced two block production outages, both caused by the same underlying bug in the block builder logic.
We’ve identified and fixed the root cause, and have communicated the post mortem to OP chains as feedback.
All funds were safe throughout.

Hackers stole around $3 million from Polymarket users after compromising one of the company’s third-party vendors in a supply-chain attack.
The attackers injected a malicious script into part of Polymarket’s website. When some users visited the site, they were tricked into approving fake crypto transactions, allowing the hackers to steal funds from their wallets.
Polymarket says the attack has been stopped, the compromised third-party software has been removed, and every affected user will receive a full refund.

Polymarket Third-Party Provider Breached, About $3 Million in User Assets Stolen Polymarket said its website frontend was injected with malicious code following a breach of a third-party provider, allowing hackers to steal about $3 million in user assets. On-chain analysis showed that fewer than 15 accounts were affected, with the stolen funds primarily consisting of the platform’s pUSD stablecoin, which was later swapped for ETH. Polymarket said the vulnerability has been fixed and affected users will be fully reimbursed. This marks the platform’s second security incident in nearly two months.

@Pirat_Nation supply-chain attack on a frontend is a reminder that off-chain platforms carry attack surface you can't fully audit. when outcome resolution lives in a smart contract, at least that part is verifiable by anyone.
