It’s been less than a hundred years since women in Britain have had the right to vote. This Manchester banner was unfurled in 1903 - it would be 25 years before the suffragettes’ dream was finally realised. Make sure you use that hard-won right today!

As you watch the Aurora this evening, it’s worth reflecting that you’re getting a rare direct glimpse of the power of Nature. Those charged particles causing the atmosphere to glow came from a sunspot complex 17 times the diameter of Earth and traveled across 90 million miles at a million miles an hour. Without our magnetic field to protect us, our atmosphere would have been lost to space long ago. Those colours in the sky are Nature reminding us that we’re very lucky to be here amidst the violence. And perhaps therefore also reminding us not to shite it all up :-)

Today on ITV's @thismorning , coeliac disease was discussed during a phone in segment on the show. We are deeply concerned about the content and advice given to a caller attending a Christmas family event where all of the food will be gluten free to protect the health of a person with coeliac disease. We are actively following up with @ITV . You can read our open letter in the comments below, and will share any responses we receive. In the meantime we ask you to contact This Morning to ask them to give an apology to our gluten free community on air for this damaging and inaccurate information, and to engage with Coeliac UK to ensure their information is accurate in future.

Cell coverage is poor as usual but if I’m reading my texts correctly a group of four or five runners has reached the tower. #BM100

@beckyexcell @SaturdayKitchen @Coeliac_UK An apology should be issued. The presenter was flippant about it stating that as long as the guest was ok until the end of the show that was ok. For a chef to be so dismissive is concerning. It adds to the challenge we face every day. #saturdaykitchen

@tescomobile 48 hours without network coverage! Have had assurances twice from customer services that my number would be transferred to my new contract and still nothing. Can't get through to your live chat now either. Really really disappointed with your service!!

Coeliac disease is a serious autoimmune condition- and the GF diet is a treatment for life, not a fad/choice. To set the record straight we have written an open letter to the BBC about some confusing messages on a recent programme. Read it on our website: coeliac.org.uk/about-us/media…
