@fimplistic
design + tech handmade design, not powered nor empowered by artifical intelligence learning to make framer templates

I'm quitting making @framer templates. We are making paid templates so that they can be ripped off with AI. This isn't a viable business model anymore. And let me be clear, i don't want any attention or try to crash on framer, just want to bring awareness to people who are in this game, i m still here till i ship my remaining templates, but here's my point of vue Template business ( not only framer) is dead... or dying Give me a reason why people will still buy a template when they can just take your work, feed it to an AI agent, and within minutes, a fully functional website is live—with no affiliation connected, no sales, just your work stolen legally. AI is getting better, and I think we should optimize for something that can't be so easily replicated. It's understandable why Framer went from building sites without coding to building sites with Agents (business strategy), and it's best for everyone involved—nothing we can do about it. In the era of building sites without coding, templates were the key success area of framer, or other sites builders, but with agents, not anymore, and framer has all right to evolve like all other companies do, with AI, they don't have choice but take the right strategy for the growth of the business I have 9 templates in progress (damn, I jump from unfinished projects to new ones, lol). But I’m quitting making templates for good. I will finish the 9 templates and post them on the marketplace, then go back to client projects (probably not web design, something else). Many people still think they will make it big like those who entered this business earlier. Not at all. The opportunity is gone. Within 1-2 years, the template business won't be a viable way to make money. Even those currently making it will shift. If you want, you can stay and earn as much as you can while it lasts, but it’s no longer a tangible business. So I will upload my templates to the marketplace or list them on other third-party marketplaces, just to generate some income as I shift to something better. Just imagine—someone launching their website using your template as a reference, and you get nothing in return; no affiliate, no direct sales, nothing. That’s where we’re heading, and it’s clear. If you think this business will last, you are just blind. So, for everyone starting out, build templates and earn as much as you can while the opportunity lasts, because within two years, this won’t be around anymore.

Wow. @CreativeMarket is brutal. Once rejected, that's it. They're basically telling me don't bother trying again. Apparently I'm not (trying to) setting up myself for success.
