Chainlink announced new partnerships with seven projects that are already building on its Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE).
In simple terms, CRE is an environment where AI agents can interact directly with blockchains - accessing data, making payments, and executing actions without intermediaries.
One of the most interesting integrations comes from @SentientAGI, the team behind open AI systems like ROMA, OpenDeepSearch, and Sentient Chat.
With CRE, Sentient’s agents can now use verified data from the @chainlink network - market prices, macroeconomic indicators, and cross-chain states.
This means their agents can make decisions based on proofs instead of guesses, and coordinate intelligence across Web2 and Web3.
In other words, Sentient is building an architecture where AI becomes an active participant in the crypto economy - not just analyzing information, but directly interacting with assets and infrastructure.
Coinbase has added support for autonomous agent payments through x402.
GizaTech uses CRE to optimize stablecoin yields.
ElizaOS, Ampli, and Chaos Chain are developing their own use cases - from secure computation to onchain process automation.
All these efforts point toward a new model - the agentic economy.
