@hamids @arstechnica The Launch Edition matches up VERY closely with the Model Y Performance in terms of price and specs, and the other trims are all roughly $5k or less within the Y's prices. Very impressive if these prices are correct!

UPDATED SPECULATION on $RIVN R2 Pricing... Ok, we can't leave this alone, but apparently @arstechnica accidentally published and pulled an article revealing R2 pricing early. I updated my previous speculations on R2 pricing based on the information I was able to find. Special thanks to @emo__girl_ IF this pricing turns out to be accurate, WOW! I think Rivian can just make the R2 Launch edition all year long and even for most of next year because at $58K, this vehicle is going to be sold-out for a loooooong time!

@MarkJCarney If you’re going to put the resources into it, please make sure it has the North American charging standard, NACS, if not, it will not be used anywhere near as much, with Tesla being the leader and everyone else shortly using the same charging standard it just makes sense to use
