@Ayrspirit2021 I think of spirituality as connecting with your inner self and the outer world.
English

Wars, political drama, and work issues don't have to disturb your inner peace.
Being spiritual doesn't mean a belief in a higher power.
Spirituality doesn't have to be a woo-woo or fluff bunny experience that is chasing rainbows.
Spirituality means sharing that we all have the same feelings.
Spirituality is just a way to bring us closer as human beings.

@blitteral The arrow of comparison is my nemesis. So, instead of dwelling on what I may be lacking, I use it as a motivator to take the shot.

@IsabelMgarcia45 You are so right, Isabel. True happiness comes from living a life aligned with your values and needs. Finding time and space to clarify those two things is the best gift you can give yourself.

Level Up Your Life: Why "Wanting" Needs a Reality Check
What you want is not what you need.
Our desires can be fleeting.
A shiny new gadget might seem like the answer.
But does it truly fulfill a deeper need?
The key to a fulfilling life lies in understanding your core needs:
· Security
· Growth
· Connection
· Purpose
or something else entirely.
Once you identify them, you can start making choices that align.
Here's how to bridge the gap:
· Practice Self-Awareness
Reflect on what truly motivates you.
· Challenge Desires
Ask yourself "Why do I want this?"
· Focus on Experiences
Invest in experiences that create lasting memories and growth.
· Build Strong Relationships
Nurture meaningful connections.
True happiness comes from living a life aligned with your values and needs.
By understanding yourself, you can pursue desires that contribute to your overall well-being.
Don't get caught up in fleeting wants.
Invest in what truly matters and watch your life transform!

Your Body Knows: Making Decisions with Intuition
Making decisions can be tough.
But what if the key to unlocking choices that truly align with you lies within your own body?
Harnessing Your Internal Compass
Science tells us our cells react to stimuli.
When we feel safe and excited, our bodies literally expand and move towards it.
Imagine your dream job opportunity – your body probably vibrates with excitement!
This is your intuition leading the way.
Similarly, a toxic situation might trigger a feeling of unease, a subtle signal to step away.
Learning to listen to these internal cues can be a powerful decision-making tool.
Decision-Making Made Simple
Think of this as your internal "decision compass."
It's your intuition talking.
Instead of endless overthinking, ask yourself:
· Does this choice energize and excite me?
· Or does it trigger a sense of dread or contraction?
Strategic Alignment with Your Intuition
Strategic decision-making isn't about pleasing others.
Strategic thinkers excel at aligning their choices with their long-term goals.
By tuning in to your body's responses, you gather valuable information about what feels expansive and what feels constricting.
This allows you to make strategically aligned choices, prioritizing opportunities that light you up and steering clear of paths that drain your resources.
Prioritize Your Wellbeing by Listening to Your Intuition
Life is finite, and your energy is precious.
Listening to your body aligns with your intuition.
By prioritizing decisions, experiences, and opportunities that energize you, you invest your energy in choices with a higher chance of leading to fulfillment and enjoyment.
Live Authentically by Following Your Intuition
Ignoring your intuition to please others can lead to resentment and a sense of living someone else's life.
Growth requires a willingness to step outside your comfort zone.
Tuning into your body's signals allows you to make choices that resonate with your values, even if it means disappointing others.
It can lead to unexpected adventures and a more fulfilling journey.
Live With Intention: Your Life, Your Choice
Ultimately, the power of choice lies with you.
· Will you base your life on external expectations, burdened by regrets?
· Or will you choose to listen to your intuition and choose the path that ignites your cells and fuels your journey towards a life you love?
Don't be afraid to say "no" to opportunities that leave you feeling uninspired or drained.
Remember, you're crafting your own story.
A moment of courage to prioritize your well-being can unlock a lifetime of aligned choices and lead you down a path that truly excites and energizes you.
Listen to your internal compass, your intuition.
Your body is sending you clear signals.
By tuning in, you can chart a course towards a life that thrives, feels energizing, fulfilling, and truly yours.

I am not a good patient. Most nurses are not.
When I am sick, I think, what would I be like if I was getting chemo or radiation or had Fibromyalgia?
I would be a mess; no one would want to be my friend.
I’ve been sick since Thursday evening. Yesterday was the worst. Today is Tuesday, and I am finally feeling a little better.
My husband accepted my failure to cope with illness and would shop and ensure that I had the food, fluids, and equipment I needed to feel better. He would make sure I was doing all I could to cope.
On my own, I forced myself to get up and eat snacks at least a few times a day. I could have been drinking more fluids. My throat was sore, and my mouth was dry, but I was not motivated to look for the humidifier.
I took ibuprofen regularly, skipped showers, sat in the morning sun, watched a slew of reno shows (i.e., no thinking required), practiced talking through the workshop I will present on Thursday, and posted on X daily.
I cleaned the kitchen and did the laundry when I had some extra energy.
My priorities shifted.
Sometimes, being sick is a no-choice opportunity to rest and let things go.
English

@riskbeingseen Me too. Sometimes it means I must distance myself from friends, family or situations beyond my control. I do my best to speak with care, but it's not always well received.
I've vowed to not say I'm fine when I'm not or hide my joy because someone else is miserable. Baby steps.
English

@finn_jane 1. Be impeccable with your words
i lie and dodge and evade more than i care to admit, b/c it's become permissible/normalized in culture, IMO. i need to revisit that, b/c it's not who i want to be.

@Drtinaneel @BoostSelfWorth Let's ensure our children and grandchildren feel safe using their voices to tell us how they feel.
English

@BoostSelfWorth Yeah, I wonder that myself. But I don’t remember her asking but we did have a conversation years later so apparently she either didn’t ask me or I wouldn’t tell her.
English

Have you everheard this song?
You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know, dear
How much I love you
Please don't take
My sunshine away
Well, Mama would sing it to me when I was a little girl. Mostly when we were driving in the car someplace.
To me, that was the saddest song. I felt like taking my sunshine away meant somehow she was gonna die.
So as a little kid, I began to cry.
I don’t know how many times she sang that to me, but every single time I cried.
Years later, we were talking about it. I told her about it making me sad, and that I cried because of the idea it gave me.
She was so surprised. She had thought the reason I was crying was that her singing was that terrible.
To this day, 65 years later, I still don’t like that song!
English

@jdpphotoBIZ You can't listen if you don't hear. Never apologize for doing what it takes to be that person who truly hears and sees another.
English

Let's remove the stigma of wearing hearing aids.
It's like wearing glasses. Sometimes, the flashier, the better.
Statistics are high for older people to experience hearing loss. While I don't consider myself old, I abruptly experienced hearing loss this past year. I'm excited to get my first hearing devices this week.
English

@IsabelMgarcia45 I agree. I was with a group of people I love and respect.
We were given a piece of paper with 7 rings and asked to put ourselves and 9 others who weren't in the room in a ring.
I was the only one that didn't put myself in the center.
That was a big aha! Lesson learned.
English

The Brutal Truth: You Are Your Own Priority
The most brutal lesson I ever learned is if you don't take care of yourself, nobody else will.
It's harsh, but true.
You are not the center of everyone's world, and relying on others to manage your well-being is a recipe for burnout.
The Power of Self-Investment
Think of yourself as a skilled strategist.
Your body and mind are your tools for achieving your goals.
To be effective, you need to maintain them.
Prioritize sleep, healthy eating, and exercise. Invest in your mental well-being through activities that reduce stress and boost focus.
Focus on What You Can Control
External expectations can be overwhelming.
Instead, focus on what you can control – your habits, routines, and daily choices.
By prioritizing self-care, you become more efficient and resilient, maximizing your potential for success.
Actionable Steps for Balance
· Schedule Self-Care
Block time in your calendar for activities that replenish your energy, whether it's exercise, meditation, or spending time with loved ones.
· Minimize Distractions
Set boundaries on social media and other distractions that drain your time and focus.
· Track and Adapt
Monitor your energy levels and adjust your routines as needed.
Take breaks when you need them, and don't be afraid to delegate tasks.
Final Thought
By prioritizing self-care, you're not being selfish – you're becoming the best version of yourself.
This benefits not just you, but also those around you.
You'll have more energy, focus, and resilience to pursue your goals and contribute to the world in a meaningful way.
