@finsrocket dont lie to us u were never high on alperen...u are in fact a well registered alpi doubter
English

See, you can’t fathom someone who was a massive fan of Sengun (literally almost anyone in the Rockets Twitter community can verify) changing their mind after years of seeing the same problems.
If you’re going to hate, at least hate with a few facts.
Abel@AbelGe87
@canplayson No, thats his proposal, someone that has never been a fan of Alpi, thats how bad they want him gone that they'll make a trade unfavorable for the Rockets
English

@Siddle_Daniel Fair enough, you can disagree with what the comp should be (i dont think Sengun has as much value around the league as many assume), but i was a massive fan of Senguns for years.
So many get tribal with this stuff.
English

@finsrocket Tbf that is a terrible trade, 1 1st and what is currently looking like a bad contract for a 23yo 2x All Star is hilarious!
English

@RedNinetyFour I am for moving on from Alpi, but I don’t think Giannis is the right pivot.
If you pull the trigger on Giannis, that’s it. That’s your one shot. And I’m not convinced that it’s a shot worth taking given the cost. It wouldn’t be anything like the Durant trade.
English

I legitimately thought Alpi was trending towards top 10 status early in the year after some of the monster games he was putting up. And then he fell off a cliff for whatever reason, along with the injury. He’s looking again like the guy he was early on.
Obviously, I’m very high on Reed. And I get the concerns about whether they are viable together defensively. But I kind of would rather experiment with finding the right athletes to surround them with (Amen is a great start) rather than blowing it all up and trading Alpi for Giannis.
English

@RooshWilliams I don’t think you can assume you’ll get another KD season like this, either via health or performance.
Very much appreciate what he did for us. He kept us from the abyss.
English

@finsrocket Ok then you replace those guys or bring them back and add around them. You don’t trade the one guy who’s kept this from being a sub-500 season.
English

@RooshWilliams Roosh, respectfully, building championship hopes around ACL of FVV, the feet of Adams and Durant at 37 isn’t a winning formula IMO. I’m not talking about a complete tear down. I’m talking about patience.
English

@RooshWilliams Don’t think there’s a move or 2 that gets you into the OKC/SAS tier. Better to reset IMO.
English

@jared60901160 Yeah I don’t disagree with what they’ve done since the FVV injury. No reason to bleed assets if you aren’t contending. But the decisions to put themselves into this corner…that’s fair game to criticize.
English

@finsrocket Before the season started, I think fans felt pretty good about running 2nd unit minutes between Amen, Reed, and KD
I applaud Stone for not compounding the issue and trading assets for a pg that doesn’t make us a clear championship contender.
Who saw this disaster coming
English

@ftank58 I’m almost fully against it given the cost. This isn’t a Durant move…it’s an all-in move. Not the time or right player IMO.
English

The bucks have a better built roster than the Rockets .. and in the east they are mid.. so trading Giannis to a worst built team you will gut to get him will somehow be the best move? And this isn’t even considering the fact he’s gonna be 32 by the time he’s here and is chronically injured.. are some of you delusional?

English

@finsrocket @fyrebear I honestly don’t think the coaching is saying that to him. I think they may be telling him to stay aggressive while being smart. He just has to know when to be disciplined and when to gamble.
I’ve seen a bunch of times where he gambles while being the last line of defense.
English

Reed in the starting lineup to add spacing and gravity is natural. But the reason the #Rockets resisted is the specific defensive pairing of Reed & Sengun and the overall net rating of that unit. So, let's see moving forward if that trends positively and can be sustainable.
English

@daboio @finsrocket Reed said in an interview that he was able to make gambles in HS and college and he had to adjust to the pros, the speed of the game. So he is learning on the fly what he can and can't do.
English

@finsrocket @fyrebear Exactly. We can deal with the bully ball stuff because at least he’s trying. But it’s when he gambles and opens up the lane for an easy drive, which causes everyone else to scramble.
English

@finsrocket @fyrebear I think Sengun is who he is on defense. The hope is for Reed to be much more disciplined. Also, it’s much easier to cover up for a bad wing/guard defender than a C.
English

@finsrocket @daboio Yeah, seems obvious that Ime is gonna give this a look. He said 7 or 8 games. So, we'll see how it goes. Like you said, we are what we are right now. Might as well give it a look. Also, saves Tari a bit mentally. Back to the bench for a reset.
English

@daboio There are some parody accounts on here posting unhinged stuff. People shouldn't take nonsense seriously. There are underlying reasons for why Ime is doing what he is doing with rotations. The defensive pairing gets overlooked by much of the fanbase. The net ratings bare it out
English

lol. It must be March.
Shane Young@YoungNBA
Don’t think we’ll be hearing any of that Jalen Green discourse now. You have to give guys some time.
