gm, a personal update! I’m no longer at @serotonin_hq which also means I’m no longer your favorite agency girl????? After 8 years in agencies I decided to step off that secure, familiar path and go deeper into the work I actually love. It started with a career fair at @KetchumPR that @TBoneGallagher dragged me to and introduced me to so many people I’m still in touch with today. TLDR: he told me not to shrink in the corner - everyone starts somewhere. I did some internships and finally landed my first real job at @ccgroup, where @fintechprguy took a chance on me fresh out of Uni and set me on this path. Then came @Hotwire and @EdelmanPR, where I learned what real CLASS looks like in how you carry yourself and deliver with excellence - @iamviali, @DivertingLife, @britbatkins, @hrh9191, @DarrylSparey, @JustinWestcott + so many more of you that shaped me! And finally @YAPGlobal, the milestone that gave me my web3 wings thanks to @samanthawyap’s conviction and leadership 🩶 I’ll always credit you for sparking the obsession that’s still with me today. You’re so real and I’ll forever admire that. Last but not least, my 3 years at Serotonin: the coolest work, the sharpest clients and colleagues who are frankly unfairly brilliant (@amandacassatt @kara_miley @cryptojeaux @ThePeteasaurus @CKapibara @davidjgoosey @blondontherun @leslietermuhlen @GiveMeACurry @HorinekPM @DLGarber - the list goes on!). What’s next? Space and perspective. For now I'm in my consulting with homies era (which has been my favorite chapter yet?!) helping out on brand comms, creative campaigns and PR for people I rate 10/10. Longer term, I see myself at the intersection of fintech and crypto - institutional adoption or anything that pulls us out of the weeds and closer to mainstream. Basically channeling my early PR roots while building in the industries rewriting them. At least that’s how it feels reflecting on all this today. If you’ve got advice, strong opinions or just want to swap notes on where I could add value, my DMs are open.
