Had one hell of a morning because my hotel reservation that I booked through @Hotwire was canceled and the hotel I booked was still selling rooms.. at triple the price. And their solution: a room that cost $1500 more. NOT COOL! I booked a year ago!

Booking hotels is a JOKE!! Prices are higher on @hotwire mystery rates that have to be paid in full, than just booking directly with the "previous person got" hotel. Use to get decent deals on HW, but haven't used them since their definition of 3 stars is really 2 stars.

@Hotwire Do not trust these guys, booked a hotel for the listed price of $192/night only to find out there was a $140 Resort fee due upon checkin. The price listed should be the price, you should not have to read the extreme fine print before booking. Used to love hotwire, but no more.

I’ve booked countless trips through @Hotwire including one next month with my brother-in-law who died unexpectedly on Tuesday. This is how long I waited on hold today before being disconnected. 1 hour & 18 minutes and then it just hung up. Unacceptable.
