Sorta feeling like most of the people who genuinely hate it joined 2014-2022 but like to fashion themselves as old heads - we’ll see

I actually kinda like retroslop Yeah some devs are cashing in, and yeah a lot of devs get it wrong (studs never went on sides of blocks) but I appreciate that Roblox has its own modernized retro style which is distinctly “Roblox”

@StudReviewerRBX please find some broken parts and half-studs so I can fix them :P

If you’re talking about cutoff studs. I think they will always be cut off no matter what. Ex: this ugc item is based off a Classic roblox arcade model that has cutoff textures. (I couldn’t find og model) Yeah it would look off but it’s just a map and people have a lot of other things to be concerned for than a cutoff stud

@sleitnick @ReverseRBLX Discovering how to anchor things was a game-changer. I remember manually clicking every single part with the anchor tool after everything fell apart because I didn't know about the properties tab 😆

@ReverseRBLX Welds were great. I still remember having tons of headaches as to why my maps were falling apart, later to learn that nearby explosions would break the joints

Its funny to see the discussion around what is and isn't correct with stud building styles as a user from 2006. Most places then only had studs on the top back then and generally universal studs (studs on all sides) werent all that popular as far as my recollection is concerned.

@asimo3089 @WoodReviewerRBX Real answer : ideally, it would go diagonally so that you are using the most of the woodgrain, creating a stronger piece. If it's a decorative element, it doesn't matter too much, but for structure it would not be sound with the short grain sections.

@finweiRBLX hey I think at a certain point that's honestly better. I kept finding myself saying "I remember that build!" when I was playing the alpha the other day. like the plane, which I never actually saw in any games but always saw in thumbnails back in the day.

@144hertz You're right! I've been utilizing a lot of old uncopylocked places and models for the structures and modifiyng them to fit the game! I would love to make original builds for this, but the scale and time it would take isn't currently feasable

@Inyo22RBLX A particularly ancient one I still go back to play from time to time is Castle in the Sky. It’s a platformer/puzzle game and it’s quite old but the aged aesthetic is nostalgic for me
