@PATHTrain I am not okay . Since there are cameras, take a look. I asked a few people on the platform at the WTC but they said to go to phone . I am on the phone but have been on hold . Should I call on Monday before taking the path to my job ?

@PATHTrain hi Can you ask the train conductor not to close the door while people are still boarding? My hand is black and blue . This train is going to WTC the train is coming from Hoboken. #5304 door 6. Happen at exchange place .

@PATHTrain Thanks Also, since it’s control by the operators. They might be forgetting to do it since an additional job for them . Hopefully today things will be working.

@fionaET Right, the timings have changed a bit. So you will notice a difference in the way the signs operate during departures. Also, the signs are now partially controlled by the operators so timings may shift due to operational factors, such as train spacing, delay prevention, etc.

@PATHTrain I am at the WTC going to Jersey . It said it the Newark train was next but the Hoboken train left first and the light wasn’t even on saying that it was the next train

Hi, Fiona. We wanted to follow up and provide a bit of context, as there have recently been updates to the way the “Next Train Leaving” signs operate. Previously, the signs would illuminate about two minutes before a train was scheduled to depart. Under the new design, the signs now illuminate approximately five minutes before the train is expected to depart and turn off about 20 seconds before departure. Because of that 20 second timing, you may see instances where a train departs shortly after the sign turns off, which can make it appear as though the sign did not indicate that train as the next departure. We recommend using the Real-Time Status page in the RidePATH app for the most accurate train departure information. Here is a link to download the app: panynj.gov/port-authority…. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope this helps clarify how the signage functions.

@PATHTrain once again the sign indicators for the next trains at the WtC aren’t working today . I noticed that the Hoboken train left and the sign never lite up or the Newark side . Wish these worked .

@PATHTrain Great to hear ! I have the opposite commute and there are less trains in either directions. Looking forward to this . I haven’t seen this yet but hopefully soon.

@fionaET Hi, Fiona. Yes, when a service line is listed—for example, NWK–WTC—it implies in both directions, unless otherwise stated.

@PATHTrain morning I am on the Hoboken side of the platform WTC and the signs that are next to the stairs to that indicate the next train leaving was Hoboken but the Newark train left first and the sign wasn’t on . Plus the sign indicator is now 4 mins instead of the 2mins
