Standing shoulder to shoulder with dignity and respect 💗 a fitting tribute and one we hope never to witness again. A sad sore day but to pay my respects to a fallen firefighter was the least I could do.

Firefighters who served alongside Barry Martin were part of his final journey today as a Turntable Ladder was used to carry his coffin. Hundreds of people gathered in Edinburgh to pay their respects as the cortege made its way along the Royal Mile to St Giles’ Cathedral.
