@RickDaSquirrel_ I don't think this first JW movie gets the credit it deserves when talking about its themes. Ppl just chalk it up as some dumb popcorn flick but there are some very interesting conversations brought up that give it an edge above the others in the trilogy

To be honest, I feel like the first Jurassic World, even though it’s incredibly flawed, has more to say about the state of entertainment with its cynical meta commentary on audiences getting bored of the same thing leading to the Indominus Rex, who is straight up a great villain.

Why is it sad that a movie that had good marketing, good direction, has a good cast, and great action scenes is doing insanely well? Why are we acting like Rebirth is some terrible film that spits in the face of cinema?

Jurassic World: Rebirth doing insanely well at the Box Office is kinda sad. But I get it. I realise more as I get older that people don't really care if something is good or not, they just want a nice day out, usually with their family. And that's that film.

@Paleonyx_Art I prefer to ignore what Dominion did to FK’s story. The idea of this grieving man recreating his daughter which led to Hammond and him falling out is significantly more interesting than… she recreated herself? And then cured her disease? Why did Hammond fall out with Lockwood?

Also, alot better than I remember. It's certainly overhated
About on par with JP3 in terms of overall quality but for veerry different reasons (tho i personally enjoy jp3 more)

Much better than I remember it being, it's actually pretty good. It's kinda insane how Colin went from this into the next two, like wtf happened Speaking of, onto the not great (but I still remember liking it) sequel Now watching Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom

@ThejurassicW It's all these annoying cinemasins ass youtubers ranting about it which spreads a negative consesus. It's just a negative way to view films. I don't think Rebirth is very good but it isn't as terrible as so many are making it out to be. It's just fine.

@zoerosebryant All the pieces for a truly great movie are there, it's just the script lacks any depth and the film doesn't take any real risks. Still don't think this movie is getting its flowers for the things it does right tho

i don’t know what direction a jurassic world rebirth sequel would take but i trust this creative team wholeheartedly bc there are so many scenes from this one i’m still thinking about. brought me back to the wonder & horror i felt first watching the franchise when i was a kid :)

Despite all the talk of being a return to horror, I wasn't really scared at any point during rebirth? And ironically the last three movies did have at least one bit where I genuinely tensed up

@SammyJReacts I don't trust anyone that doesn't have this as their second or third favorite Jurassic film. The directing is top notch throughout this whole film, despite their being some issues with the script (which imo aren't even that bad)

For as much hate THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK gets, it still has one of if not the best sequence in the entire franchise. The camera movement is impeccable, the tension is high & it’s grounded in practicality (mostly)
Which is something that’s been lacking in the world sequels
