Driving I saw a green traffic light but it was blinking yellow at the same time. I’ve never seen a traffic light do that. Is it a sign? Go but proceed with caution? What area of life am I supposed to apply this message? I wasn’t ready for an existential crisis before breakfast.

@MamaJRH @MacArthurACPS It isn’t gone yet. But maybe early in the new year. Hoping they are able to start soon. I miss Stella too and would love to see her back at MacArthur! Every time I eat mini sweet peppers for a snack I think of her 🙂

We had the opportunity to Skype with the VMHC today! We talked about Pocahontas and the Powhatans and how they lived back then. Historians in the making! @MacArthurACPS @VirginiaMuseum

Want students to remember something? Ask them to draw it! Research shows that drawing boosts learning by forcing us to process information in multiple ways: visually, kinesthetically, and linguistically.

When 25 parents volunteer their time to come in and talk about their professions for your economics unit, amazing learning takes place! Thank you to all the parents who took the time to talk to first grade! The kids loved it! 👮‍♀️👨‍🏫👩‍🎨👷‍♂️👩‍🔬👨‍🍳👩‍⚕️#wecanbeanything

Skyping to learn about pollution caused by plastics! What a perfect way to end our unit on natural resources and recycling! 🌎💚♻️ @MacArthurACPS @Litterasea1

Our class Skyped with another first grade class. We were each trying to figure out which state the other class was from! So fun! @MacArthurACPS
