@viiskb @ofansddu @GarbageHuman24 As someone from the UK who has spent a lot of time travelling in Europe and the US, it call malarkey on this! A 50 minute wait is not even close to common in Europe. There is a difference in serving culture in US, but I wouldn't say it's better, or any faster.

@ofansddu @GarbageHuman24 Quite common actually. Maybe you're picking some high-end places like Micheline restaurants. I especially remember Milan and Blatislava. More than that, we reminded waiters multiple times and didn't order anything slow cooking.

When a $490.88 Bill Gets a $0.00 Tip. I don’t usually make posts like this, but last night was one for the books. You ever have a dinner where the service completely ruins the whole experience? That was us. For a final Check Total of $490.88, we received one of the worst service performances I've ever witnessed From the heavy sighs the second we sat down to the eye-rolling when we asked about the menu, our waitress acted like we were a massive inconvenience. She took our order like a chore, snapped when I politely asked for silverware, and basically tossed the plates down. The way she hovered with the check before we were even halfway done eating made it clear she just wanted us gone. And based on the $98.18 20% tip suggestion at the bottom, she was expecting a massive gratuity. The verdict? We paid the $490.88 check total but left $0.00 for the tip. Good service earns a good tip; bad service earns nothing.

It's natural to want to share the gaming hobby with your kids, but how do you start them off? Do you favour a simple retro game, or go with a new game they can talk about with friends? What was the first game your children played? Some replies will be printed in the magazine.

Calling every progressive “a communist” is the oldest trick in American politics. If demanding fair wages, housing, and healthcare is communism, then maybe the system needs a mirror, not a label. Experience teaches — but so does empathy. And right now, America could use a little more of that.

Over half-term, I have been driving quite a lot. I've been to Kent, Sussex, Birmingham, Bristol and Chessington World of Adventures. I've seen plenty of scratty, cheap England flags along the way, none more than in south Birmingham. We went to the Forge Mill Needle Museum last week — far more interesting than it sounds — in Redditch. This, I think, is the place there were the most and directly as a result of @RTCORGUK. They function in this area. When I went to look them up yesterday, it turns out they have blocked me on here. Fair enough, I did point out the ring leader, Ryan Bridge, is part of an active case in Spain where he was involved in a multimillion pound holiday insurance scam. One look at their, still in breach of GDPR rules, website shows that they have received £24,824.38 in donations recently with several anonymous £1,000 contributions. They don't provide a single word about where the money goes. They have no privacy policy. They have no Ts & Cs. More importantly, are they paying tax? Raise the Colours is not a registered charity, and their proprietor, Ryan Bridge is listed as an active director on numerous businesses on Companies House — none of which are Raise the Colours. So, in my mind, this now seems like an issue for HMRC. More learned tax specialists may be able to help me here, but surely, this is monies received and not declared? After the rough weather in the last few days, I have seen lots of tattered remains of these cheap and nasty flags, where the wind and rain has ripped them from a lamppost. This is seriously dangerous. If one fell onto a car windscreen, it could cause a catastrophic accident. It is also an environmental issue when these plastic-based flags start littering the hedgerows of our countryside. Raise the Colours are creating a total mess of the country they espouse to love so dearly, and they are operating outside of the law. Another example of the far-right's ability to do anything they like with no recourse.

@LexieAshmore ..Unless they use the whole Brookside connection to revive that show..but then I'd want Brookie to go back to its roots as a gritty social commentary, with Sir Phil Redmond in charge..distance itself from the Chester mob.
