In the same way that everybody tests in prod, whether they admit it or not, everybody is following a process, all the time.
It may be conscious or subconscious, chaotic or standardized. The right question isn't "should we have a process", it's "does our process still serve us?"

Honeycomb is going through one of those phases, as startups do, where people argue passionately about process, and how much process is too much process.
Startups tend to attract people who like to fly fast and loose and ad hoc, and I am no different.

@zeeg I will spend the rest of my life fighting this wherever I go as an IC, and migrating too and from management roles “as needed”. There is certainly some amount of necessity in the way “BigCo” operates, and it certainly has its place. @mipsytipsy talks about this sometimes!
