There is an overemphasis on decklist and not enough of an emphasis on gameplay in Riftbound

@dontfollowdunc Probably just a falling star. If your opponent goes runner runner (or even just kaisa) your t3 just wins the game vs them with not much opportunity cost. Forerunner probably best threat in the matchup - we’ll want to see as many copies of it as we can.

Went from riftbound exclusively for months back to cubing last night and losing due to mana is always and will always be the worse feeling. Probably skill issue - but doesn’t alleviate the feeling.

@TrickJarrett Build your deck with 48 cards in mind. That might seem intuitive but I see a lot of players build their 40 cards and the have their 8 cards as an afterthought. Deck construction should include your sideboard planning and you should know what slots out for what in your matches.

Alright Riftbounders, I am curious - what advice do you give or want to give to new players about deck building? (No, telling them to take online decks is not what I'm looking for.)

Cleave is not a playable magic card. 2 Thermobeam is too many. Falling star vs Piercing light is worth a larger conversation. Last Rites in the list somewhere probably worth discovery.

T8 Midrange Draven: 😡🏆😡 Played R7 opponent again since he was first seed. Competitive games but couldn’t bring it home. Couple sequencing errors throughout the day; multiple missed triggers last 2 rounds. Need to play way cleaner. Decent first showing for a “larger” event.
