Yes @MarcusCVance they're good because they are humans fighting to prevent the annihilation of the human race. So unless you're a fucking alien or a retarded nihilist, generally speaking you should be pro your own species survival. That and their enemies consist of giant sentient space mushrooms who exist only to wage war, giant bugs that want to devour all life in the galaxy, murdering space robot zombie skeletons that at minimum want to enslave humanity after annihilating most of it, LITERAL FUCKING DEMONS, and space elves that will turn you into a living couch for funzies. Hell the 'nicest' aliens still want to wipe out or subjugate humanity. The not sadistic space elves see humans as primitive monkeys to be expunged and the blue space weebs who practice eugenics. (Yes that is exactly what they do Kais, because they forbid inter-caste breeding to use as a form of control and to maintain genetic purity of said castes.)

- Underwhelming base game boss roster - Bad healing system - Parry limited to only a few bosses - Camera angles Few off my head , would only be able to name more or see if the issues I raised aren't as bad on a replay (played last year)

@MachDominus Why would I need to care about random space marine when Calgar is there why should I care about random soldier if there is Yarrick, the main characters will always eclipse the others but they still have their own stories that people care about

Other characters in 40k now feel eclipsed by their all encompassing presence. Their sheer importance is a double edged sword. Why care about Grandmaster Azrael when Lion El'Jonson is back in action? Why focus on regional conflicts (ex. Badab War) when Angron popped up again?

Possibly cold take/rant: the Primarchs should've stayed in the 30k time period. Modern 40k felt more engaging when the Loyalists were either missing, inactive or dead, while the Traitors oversaw their plans from the Warp. Them returning en masse screams Horus Heresy 2 to me.

@MachDominus I see your point but I think the way they got rid of loyal primarchs was extremely lazy and I think this could give them a chance to explore more of those characters and benching the traitors in the warp also feels really lazy and I can't imagine what would Angron do in this case

@AesirAesthetics Considering that it is called blood borne it is pretty obvious that major theme is about childbirth and thus about women and the violence that is inflicted upon them

Bloodborne is about the conflict of Enlightenment and beasthood (insight and blood, phantasm and vermin, Isz and Loran, Great Ones and Beasts) It's also about the horrors and beauty that are unleashed when the boundary of the world is broken and the malice and madness that is born from the human desire to know Yes, women suffer in these games, and yes, they suffer specifically because they are women, but men also suffer and specifically because they are men Saying femininity is not a massive theme running through Bloodborne is absurd, but to say it's specifically about that is sort of limiting the work to only one of it's component pieces

@MrAntiHero1 I get where you arr coming from but miniatures and tabletops are first, simply because it makes them more money if a character is alive longer so they can sell minis of that model and thus he is either overpowering in lore or doesn't do anything

See the sad thing is Temu Jack Sparrow here knows that the second version is what would actually happen if there was no lore. Because no one is going to drop $50-$100 on something they know nothing about. Especially something that will take hours to assemble and then paint. If lore really didn't matter or contribute in any meaningful way to miniature sales, then you can bet your ass GW would never bother with it at all. Publishing lore/books is an investment into driving interest into purchasing minis. If it wasnt there and there was nothing compelling to drive those sales, then eventually it fails. Is it folly to say that Lore is more important? Yes but it is equally so, to say it's 'secondary' and is only used by clowns like Noise to justify changing it to fit their own personal politics. Thats his entire goal when he says that kind of thing. To make lore sound trivial, even though it does clearly matter to him, so that he and other woke types can demand whatever changes fits their own world views.

@DraculaeDyke I hope they will release just the raptor box becouse the main reason for this price is that chaos lord so hopefully they will sell it without him at some point

either my warhammer site is bugging or the previous chaos raptors kit has been retired, if so this is also the new 40k raptors kit now which just why gw?
