@VaughnVernon @raimeyuu @madoxdev @simas_ch @tdhulster Dev 5: "What a great idea. I can hardly wait to store all our currency values in our infinite database. Oh, the joy!"
English

@raimeyuu @fkrautwald @madoxdev @simas_ch @tdhulster Dev2: "And that's why Value Objects need unique ids. You know, for the database!"

DDD is an advanced philosophy and technique for developing software, and it calls for above-average developers, even very good developers to it to use.
@VaughnVernon Domain-Driven Design Distilled.
Couldn’t agree more with that sentence!
English

@VaughnVernon I agree about ethnicity. But I do experience tendencies that are culturally based.
English

@fkrautwald There are highly capable devs from every ethnicity and culture. I employ among and love ethnic and cultural diversity. I give people the dignity of accepting their word in interviews, but have switched from giving endless chances to firing fast. They either get it or they don't.
English

@VaughnVernon @raimeyuu @madoxdev @simas_ch @tdhulster I tend to draw the conclusion that DDD and "good" patterns require skill levels and experience on par with professional athletes to accomplish good, long-term results.
English

@raimeyuu @madoxdev @simas_ch @tdhulster Some don't have success even with multiple contexts and languages. It seems that it's not even necessarily accidental complexity, or even not talking to customers.

@VaughnVernon I constantly experience this when working with software engineers who don't have a sufficient English vocabulary. Even when we have developed a ubiquitous language vocabulary with the domain experts, the engineers ignore it during their programming.
English

@VaughnVernon Yes, it's a standing question. We also experience it with other standards and guides set forth. It also seems that the behavior is bound to a specific ethnicity. It is very unfortunate when the sign of the times calls for inclusion.
English

@fkrautwald I get the problem with English. Most don't even try to develop a language. Going to the effort and then ignoring it is, what? Is it habit, irresponsible, arrogant? It certainly is not respectful of others' time and effort, employers, or empathetic toward the business experts.
English

@MichaelArnaldi It's unclear to me if you advocate`interface` over `type`.
English

@gmoney1911a3 @thunderf00t Yes. Nobody died from that "disaster".
English

@thunderf00t Meh, I'm still doubtful of any humanoid robot for the next decade or 2. I remember a DARPA challenge a few years ago that was pretty intense, and they all failed hilariously. First & best use case is still emergency rescue, like during Fukushima nuclear disaster.
English

BTFO Robotics is on course to outcompete the Teslabot in 3 months!! :-D
