Everyone’s entitled to their opinions/experience. But disrespecting BG & labeling my teammates “renegades” doesn’t sit well with me. The part that never made sense to me was acting like everything had to change in one of the most successful non-Power 5 programs in the country (drug situation aside). A lot of great people help build that program to get to that point and helped a ton of kids. Just because that was different than your previous “utopian culture” doesn’t make us renegades. Things don’t work out - that’s football. No need to disrespect a community & bunch of 18-21 year olds. 2 conference championships & 3 bowl wins is pretty damn good for a bunch of renegades. I’ll always have a lot of love for BG & WKU ❤️

As I sit here five weeks after the draft, with all of my players now in OTAs. I can’t help but think about the hard work, determination, and grit they put in throughout this process. I’m so grateful for the trust they placed in me and our team. This was a full circle moment for me that I’ll never forget.
