@sell2open @OwnHimLuka Sure, maybe. But at this point, you’re speculating. This opinion is based nowhere in fact. You probably would’ve been better off just ignoring my post. All we’ve done is gone full circle and proven your ignorance. I’d probably Google things before speaking so matter of factly..

@fleckfreely @OwnHimLuka Not exactly inquiring minds. It was certainly in their interest to stay stupid to enjoy the benefits of plausible deniability while he executed a mass gambling endeavor under their noses.

Texas Tech: follows all legal steps and supports a struggling player. CFB Fans: HOW DARE YOU BREAK THE INTEGRITY OF THE GAME! KICK HIM OFF THE TEAM NOW! Texas Tech: mutually parts ways with Sorsby while promising to still support him. CFB Fans: HOW DARE YOU BETRAY A STRUGGLING ATHLETE!!

What a horrible look for Cody Campbell, Ken Paxton, Texas Tech’s President and Board, and the rest of the Texas Tech administration. Not even the Lubbock Walmart has enough towels to wipe all the egg off their faces.

@sell2open @OwnHimLuka The tip was from Aug 24 ( Not Aug 25). If he didn’t place a wager and was only denied access to PrizePicks, did that violate the NCAA-prohibited wagers and mandate reporting? The below excerpt is from the NCAA’s response to the injunction.

@fleckfreely @OwnHimLuka They got a tip in August of 2025 from betting service. They reportedly handled internally providing education but not disclosing in violation of Big 12 rules. Hope that clarifies things for you. Google if you like.

@TheVFCastro Texas Tech isn’t a national championship contender. They are a lock to get into the playoffs, but are just a nice warm-up for an SEC or BIG team If you removed the SEC, BIG and ACC from the NCAA your statement is correct.

If Texas Tech wasn’t a national championship contender, nobody would care about Sorsby. That’s the truth.

@sell2open @OwnHimLuka I think objectively it’s pretty obvious that Cincinnati did not have full knowledge of what he was doing. Sorsby went to pretty great lengths to hide his gambling and when confronted about it denied it. Cincinnati can’t just report violations with no evidence.

Interesting perspective. I think it is a horrible look that continues for the NCAA and the Big 12 in selective enforcement. Cincy had an obligation under the rules to disclose, they did not. They handled internally through education. They benefitted from 2 years of his play and intended to play him in 2026 if he had stayed. TTU on the other hand are out $5MM because of Cincy's nondisclosure and rule violation of the Big 12.

@DCSheriffNE Make sure you do the same for the geezers using them as well. You wouldn’t want to be accused of discriminating based on age.

🚨Attention Parents 🚨 Effective immediatley, the DCSO will be issuing citations to parents of juveniles who are caught riding illegal vehicles recklessly on public roadways. "Since school got out, we have been inundated with calls, emails, requests, and complaints, from across the county about juveniles riding illegal motorized vehicles in an unsafe manner. We have pushed public messaging explaining what vehicles are legal to drive and where, asked for compliance, and given numerous warnings to parents after their children are caught, yet some parents allow this behavior to continue. This must stop before a child is seriously injured or killed." ~Sheriff Aaron Hanson

@DMS2864 @johnrobertgage The data makes sense. Anyone who can get out of OPS gets their kids into Bennington, Elkhorn, Millard,Gretna or District 66. You look through that data and those school districts perform well. Using OPS data to evaluate the entire Omaha Metro doesn’t make sense.

@plaquebuster1 @tStocktonTTU I mean their integrity will be tested. I understand that legally the injunction is in place through the season and playoffs. But the reality is if the appeals court shoots down the injunction in February the stain on whatever the 2026 Red Raiders season will be there

The least surprising news of all time is that Texas Tech is vilified because of a judge’s ruling in the Sorsby case. The only issue is Texas Tech did not step one toe out of line in the entire process.

@gwilkie80 The reality is Sorsby’s eligibility is a poison pill. Yeah the school won’t be formally punished. But the negative publicity will most definitely have an impact on the current roster and the 2027 recruiting class. I mean, this is a negative recruiting gold mine.

This is a great example of how little people know about the Sorsby situation and courts. Tx Tech can't be penalized for following a judge's court order. Their only real exposure is if they declare Sorsby ineligible to play for them against the court order, then he can sue the crap out of them. Plus the NCAA has no jurisdiction over the CFP.
Matt Freeman@mattfreeman05_

The NCAA needs to state that Texas Tech is ineligible for the CFP if Sorsby plays.

@eelirabear @tsnmike You have to differentiate what is Nick Saban is talking about as opposed to what Sorsby has done. The player Saban spoke of didn’t compromise the integrity of competition with his mistake. Betting on a team that you are playing for is not a second chance offense.

Texas Tech donor Cody Campbell calling the clearance of Brendan Sorsby by a local court "the outcome of a broken system" and asserting "I'm doing everything I can to fix it" is a level of audacity I did not believe was humanly possible.
