Again… the entire defense of Sorsby and Texas Tech in this situation is an attack on all of our IQs…. You expect us to believe people are having visceral reactions because it’s Texas Tech??? Like somehow Texas Tech is public enemy #1? Really?

“It’s because the college football world doesn’t think Texas Tech should be as good as they are” Totally out of touch with reality. 1. Tech isn’t THAT good. No one cares how good they are. No one is out to get Texas Tech. No one really even thinks about Texas Tech outside of this controversy. 2. The got blown out by Oregon. Half the Big 10 performed better against Oregon than Tech did last year. 3. IU is a much larger disrupter than Tech and everyone just acknowledges how good they are. No one is colluding to keep them from being successful. This is all just contrived paranoia to justify letting Sorsby play.

No one is mad at TTU because they think this violation is worse than DUIs or violence. People are mad because instead of accepting the consequences, you got a judge to bypass the rules. This isn’t that difficult to understand.

The only way we can support him is if he plays on Saturdays. We wouldn’t be supporting him if he went to class, was on the team and participated in workouts/practices, helped coached the quarterbacks, and contributed on game days. The more they say the more a mockery is made of real mental health issues.

.@Bcarp3 on why the Sorsby situation is bigger than one player: "Every time someone fumbles, misses a tackle, throws a pick... fans are going to wonder if the game is being rigged." The integrity issue college football now has to answer.

Nobody cares that Sorsby is good. There are rules. He broke them. Severely. And people want the sports they love to have rules and consequences. That’s it. This victim card Texas Tech is trying to play is absurd. Good lord.

"Texas Tech didn't file the lawsuit." - Kirby Hocutt No, they're just funding the player who did and benefiting from the outcome. This feels less like accountability and more like trying to hide behind a technicality while wrapping everything in a "we're helping his recovery" talking point. They've turned him into the face of the biggest gambling controversy in college sports. Every headline, every podcast, every TV segment, and every debate about integrity in sports now has his name attached to it. That's not protecting a young man. That's putting him directly in the middle of a national firestorm.

“He did a horrible illegal thing, but at least he didn’t do other horrible things. Let’s just forget about it all” is one hell of a defense. WTF @TexasTechFB Have some pride in yourselves. Way to be a leader of men @JoeyMcGuireTTU strong example you’re setting.

Everyone at Texas Tech should stop talking. Deny all interviews. Refute all quotes. Delete the 5 paragraph essays you think will justify yourselves. Just quietly accept that you are now the villain of college sports. It’s not worth lighting your personal integrity on fire.

I love that tech keeps trying to maintain some sort of moral high ground. Do that not realize they look more and more ridiculous with each horseshit it’s hard for everybody statement? I hope the whole program burns at this point
