@CageKuhn @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Well, I do deeply respect that, it’s better than most would respond. Ninety percent of the time, it’s death threats. For as extreme as I am, I’ve never issued death threats, though, it’s to be expected. 🫡 Appreciate the calm clarity.

@fleetingoftime @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 yeah all good, we each have our own opinions and values, and even though i might agree with yours, i will respect that you have your own views and beliefs, as in i wont try to argue with you and stomp out your beliefs.

@CageKuhn @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 People will either vehemently hate me, love me, or throw away my opinion. I mean, I’ve come to terms with it, I’ve been figuring out my position since 18. It’s been a long journey since 2024. I don’t expect most people to understand; they won’t. No disrespect.

@CageKuhn @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 I mean, this isn’t radical, but what I follow is and what I advocate for are, and I understand that. I understand that people won’t hear me out. I don’t think anything I’m saying comes across as unintelligent, though; it’s rational. So it is what it is, and that’s okay.

@CageKuhn @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Can’t you just leave your political beliefs at the door instead of shutting down a conversation because democracy is your end-all, be-all? I mean, for as extreme as the things I have on here are, I don’t bring them up to random people, I keep it on topic.

Nick Fuentes calls out people who harbor genuine racial hatred "It's one thing to say there are Whites and blacks, it's a whole other thing to have this persistent antipathy for vast groups of people. That is a low-IQ, dysfunctional thing."

@coyote_knight @DocStrangelove2 If you read through my messages, I actually looped it back precisely to this, that’s why Seedance 2 is so crazy. x.com/fleetingoftime…

@Daocats @DocStrangelove2 It’s not that simple. You see dancing animal videos, but AI videos themselves are a testament to our current capabilities, which will transfer over into robotics. Because if an AI can realistically simulate environments, then it can operate in real-world settings.

I use enterprise level AI routinely for my work. That doesnt justify any of the nonsense people sold on building skynet want to do. AI is no more the answer to the worlds problems than was the wheel or splitting the atom. Its a tool that either is or is not used well and practically to serve humans. Most use cases posited for AI today are either impractical, or anti-human uses. At the end of the day this tool is pointless if its creators lack the moral and intellectual capacity to use it properly. Which... as it turns out they absolutely do lack. So watching them implode from thier own hubris is quite frankly cathartic. 4 sticks of ram is like a 1000$ today for what exactly? Some thing that all the AI apololgists keep saying will happen one day trust us bro, and trust us if china gets there first.... what exactly? Are they gonna sic some version of grock with a coolie hat on me? Ill be fine.

@CondementMolde @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Small models work for simple tasks, but frontier video/world models drive better sim-to-real transfer for robotics. That's why Seedance 2 and others keep pushing multimodal capabilities, it's not nothing.

@CondementMolde @CDuds2024 @DocStrangelove2 But Frontier scaling still drives meaningful progress in world simulation and sim-to-real robotics transfer, going well beyond what local 2018-style models can do. So it's not useless at all.

@fleetingoftime @CDuds2024 @DocStrangelove2 data centres wont be a problem because we will learn that they fucking suck lmao anything short of a locally ran net-set of premade models with no database (only a copy of learning behavior and the ability to search) is dead useless and less efficient than internet searches, 2018

@CDuds2024 @DocStrangelove2 Ground data centers are still the practical path for now while we solve both energy and thermal issues. Which we will.

@CDuds2024 @DocStrangelove2 You’re right, space has major heat challenges too. In a vacuum, there’s no convection or conduction, so all cooling relies on relatively slow radiation, which requires large, heavy radiators. It’s not the simple “no heat concerns” fix I implied.

@CondementMolde @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Scaling and better world models keep improving capabilities, especially in robotics. OpenAI is redirecting the Sora team specifically toward real-world simulation and robotics. The tech isn't finished.

@fleetingoftime @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 the tech was perfected even before 2023, we already have the absolute best model to ever be able to theoretically exist, its a basic scalable computer program, we can already apply it, the tech is done, all these datacentres achieve is nothing and less than nothing

@CondementMolde @Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Military already uses AI for faster intel analysis, targeting, and planning, it cuts decision time significantly. Same in business for data-heavy tasks. The gains are real and growing, not dogshit

@CDuds2024 @DocStrangelove2 The data centers on the ground are only temporary and inefficient compared to other methods, like sending them into space to harvest solar energy continuously and operate without heat concerns. I wouldn’t say that’s where we’re headed, just the current reality.

@Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Everything you and like-minded people who don’t push for AI bring up as the bad is all surface-level. It’s the most literal, sloppy, generic use of AI, but that’s not all AI is capable of. It's just what idiots online are using it for.

@Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Just because you dislike something doesn’t mean you should shoot your entire nation’s future in the foot because you boil down an entire arms race, a literal Cold War, as being “retarded.” And there is no bottom; we are aiming for infinite, exponential growth.

@Daocats @DocStrangelove2 Yeah, I can tell you’re a genuinely politically unserious person, but I’ll add this anyway: there is no shortage of land or water. If we need to accommodate that, then we should be building massive desalination plants, and even then, these are temporary. Space is next.
