Can we say MC Oluomo, Kunle Poly, Tony Kabaka, Asari Dokubo, Tompolo, Koko Zaria and other miscreants have high intelligence because they got what they want out of life? I have been thinking about it for a while since I first came across the quoted statement weeks ago.

@dayvidhII “the measure of your intelligence is if you get what you want out of life. I personally think this should be a solid criteria for IQ measurements”? How would you suggest we measure this ?

Mixed feelings on the #StrangerThings5 finale, mostly meh. Vecna felt weak this entire season and the finale never reaches the scale or intensity you’d expect from a series ending. Your main villain is taken out in the first hour… and that’s how you end him? So easily? Nah, that didn’t sit right with me. The emotional beats work mainly because we know this is the end, we’re going to miss these characters. That nostalgia does a lot of the heavy lifting. But beyond that, nothing in this episode really made me lose my mind. Eleven’s arc played out exactly as expected, with no real surprises. And when it’s all said and done, the finale doesn’t leave a strong impact… except for the fact that it’s over forever and we’ll never see these characters again.

@billycarpy This is it, a lot of the fouls which resulted in yellows, was about protecting the CBs.

Would add: playing in front of Saliba and/or Gabriel is a performance-enhancing drug, and makes you more arrogant in duels, knowing it’ll be swept up if you err.

Agreed on this. Simple game (and Reece was immense). Would add: playing on a yellow makes you more conservative.
Jim Young@RealJimYoung

@billycarpy They won a ton of the second balls in midfield. Whether it was one more day of rest, easier run-up games, the home crowd, or a Maresca locker room talk, they seemed to have more energy and intensity

Jesu! Technical Glitch keh? In a whole 18% of the candidates!!!! And what is that first sentence? How can you people be so nonchalant about the lives of our young ones?
JAMB@JAMBHQ

Man Proposes, God Disposes! It has been established that a technical glitch affected 157 centres out of the 887 centres in the 2025 UTME. This was basically responsible for the general low performance of the candidates scheduled to sit the examination in those centres.

Crypto represents the opportunity to build social graphs around net new primitives that connect one another. Facebook = Your mutual friends Reddit = Your topics Twitter = Who you follow LinkedIn = Who you work with Tiktok = Your likes Crypto = Your mints, trades, purchases...

I've always spoken against how much money drives everything in Nigerian culture. You guys don't get to make everything about money then think it won't show up in your society. If you guys want to change it, start now to change it. Stop pretending it's someone else's problem.

Nigerians have this strange belief that we hold some sort of moral superiority over western countries. If nigeria was truly ‘disciplined,’ it wouldn’t be in the state it’s in. And why would you want to take away the option of better quality education for your children
Temi Of ATL🇺🇸🇳🇬@FavorGrace90

Many Nigerians are relocating themselves and their kids from the U.S. back to Nigeria so the kids can attend school there, especially those in elementary and high school. Later, they bring them back to the U.S. for college because they believe Nigerian schools focus more on discipline and resilience. It’s a bold move tho and not everyone can handle the adjustment

Nigerian governors can’t supply water to your residence or your office. They can’t manage the waste in your state. They can’t run a decent public healthcare system even if they cared to. They can’t run a decent public education system to save their lives. What is the point?

I posit that the single most important problem we have, as it has been since we crawled out of Eden, naked and alone, is this —— who will play God? Almost every problem we have today is some variation of a coordination problem. It is chronic Godlessness that is our fundamental problem and until Christ comes, all we'll do is make do with proxies: parents, priests, bureaucrats, governments, elites, AI. Who will organize the world? Who will play God? That is the question.
