I think if you took away the glove from Mark Vientos, he'd be alot more tolerable. Closed his stance slightly this year and there's more contact that you live with. Essentially being a better overall hitter in Citi Field is where the improvement is needed like yesterday. .840 Ops on the Road vs .507 Ops @ Home. You take this from a RH DH in 2026.

@DrMurphPodcast Gotcha. I will say I know everyone is disappointed but catchers are usually not good untill they are older. I would be careful to give up on Alvy. He is quite literally only 24. We forget.

@flippeddascript I said since Fernando Martinez. Alvarez is similar to a Gregg Jeffries level of disappointment. He is a serviceable MLB player but not nearly as good as we expected.

Alvarez is one of the more disappointing Mets prospects since Fernando Martinez.
