Very sad to say, my dog jack will no longer be able to have the operation on his eyes due to the decline of his health and the vets advice. Therefore I will be refunding everyone that kindly donated. Thankyou for your generosity for the people that supported me and jack. Fiona x

Does anyone know of a vet that can perform cataract operations ? My vet has quoted me £5000 per eye. This is crazy amount . My poor dog has sudddnly gone totally blind 😢

@flitwicker @MrDuncanJames If i remember rightly, i paid only the excess on the pet insurance. He was referred by our vets in Essex. A referral by your vets might be an option, but give the AHT a call and get some advice on referrals and self-pay options. Good luck x

@flitwicker @MrDuncanJames There is a place in Newmarket called Animal Health Trust, my spaniel was referred there by our vet for specialist ophthalmology treatment. They were amazing. Worth a try.

@flitwicker @MrDuncanJames It's cheaper to get cataracts done on humans ! There's no logical reason to charge this much other than greed
