It is hypocritical for @coinbase to operate @standwithcrypto while at the same time running extractive Solana validators. Worse yet is they are doing this with customer staked assets without sharing any of the block building rewards.

Is it just me, or does the @Google #GMail app on an iPhone randomly select messages other than the one you tap? Behavior started in the last few months and it is INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING.

@GeringerAdam We used to have one and it was stolen. It’s like the decline in Foundation when everyone learns from books instead of going to see for themselves.

@toly @isabelleboemeke Navy reactors are not defined by the enrichment of the fuel—that only controls how often they need refueling—they have unlimited access to cooling.

@isabelleboemeke Dual use. Build a bunch of big boats with a bunch of reactors that power GPUs in peace time, energy weapons in peace keeping times.

I often encounter the argument that we should use naval reactors for civilian purposes because they have already solved reliability and longevity issues. One problem with that argument is that the Navy can use highly enriched, weapons-grade uranium. This matters because the reactors need refueling far less often. In some submarines, never during their entire 33+ year lifespan. Naval reactors are also extremely expensive, which isn’t an issue for the Navy. But it is a major problem when trying to create a product that can compete with fossil fuels.

The navy already solved: - small reactors - long core life - reliable operation - mass production For some reason we've been leaving this technology under water for over 70 years

@exQUIZitely Both companies made iconic games, but LucasArts still the all-time winner. The King's Quest series was amazing (I think both "The Perils of Rosella", and "Absence makes the heart go yonder" were the best ones), but you can't beat Monkey Island, Loom and the couple Indiana Jones.

Looking at the 90s, I would argue that: 🔥 id Software was the benchmark for FPS 🔥 MicroProse was the benchmark for simulations 🔥 Westwood was the benchmark for RTS ...but now it gets tricky, because I can't decide who the benchmark was for adventure games. I am torn between Sierra and LucasArts. Your vote please. Remember: 1990 to 1999

this opinion might piss some people off... we should 1. cut slot times in half before Alpenglow turns on 2. keep vote cost the same (double the cost to valis)

The fifth follow-up email is the point where I snap and inform the recruiter that the lack of an unsubscribe link on their obviously-automated message is a violation of US CAN-SPAM law subject to statutory damages of $500/email. They usually don't send another message after that.
