If you are a rugby fan and your take on the Bristol defeat is somehow anything to do with the Prem having no relegation, give your head a little wobble. Bristol turned up full bore needing a win to keep their season alive. Pat Lam before the game said everything was on the line for that game. Look at Genge’s face coming onto the pitch. Some of the utter drivel I’ve read this morning from rugby fans on X is laughable. Barely a single tweet praising sublime attack from Saints. Why do fans take the first opportunity to knock at every turn the sport they supposedly care for.

@flo55yrld @BathRugby @theTRUESPEED The pundits are not the ref. If you actually use your own eyes you can see Carreras was clearing out 14 so not sealing off. So then Pollock gets called for playing the ball whilst not supporting his body. Fine margins but probably the right call.

have been critical of Andrew Brace several times over the years but significant that criticism of him after great Bath-Northampton game seems to have come exclusively from East Midlands. i thought he was superb, contributed to a fantastic spectacle.

No skin in the game here but I have to point out three major decisions that went against Northampton. Not just Northampton but against Henry Pollock: 1. Clear yellow ignored for dangerous clear out on him. 2. Bath play him at the ruck inside their 22, win a penalty and clear downfield. 3. Gets a yellow for hands in the ruck after Carreras flys in off his feet to seal it off. Andy Brace had a great game apart from these decisions, and all of them were against the one player 🤔 #BATvNOR #InvestecChampionsCup

One thing that I'll never change my opinion on is Andrew Brace is a bang average ref and feels the need to be the centre of attention in every game. Outstanding quality game but influenced way too much by the man in the middle. #BATvNOR #InvestecChampionsCup
