There are moments when you can feel the ground shift. This was one of them. A real path to healing is opening for people who have waited far too long. Grateful to @POTUS and @SecKennedy for the courage to lead on this, and deeply honored to be in the Oval Office for this moment. It’s hard to put into words my gratitude to @joerogan and @w_bryan_hubbard. Their relentless support, compassion, and conviction helped carry this across the finish line. Hope just became real for so many families.

I’ve seen this change myself. I was fortunate that existing medications helped with my depression and OCD. At one point, I could barely get out of bed or function. That changed. Thank G-d we have treatments that can do that for people. Psychedelics are incredibly promising and may expand what’s possible across a range of neuropsychiatric disorders. But like any treatment, they’ll also have limitations and risks. What concerns me is how often the conversation turns into minimizing existing medications. For some people, those treatments are the difference between being non-functional and getting their life back. This doesn’t have to be either/or. The goal should be simple: more effective options, used thoughtfully, for more people.

This is so huge!! It cannot be emphasized enough what this policy paradigm shift means for people living with mental health conditions for whom available treatment options don’t work! Congrats and an enormous amount of credit to @FutureJurvetson and @gjurvetson for spearheading this important policy initiative! Your grid and tenacity in advocating for this long overdue policy change is truly remarkable !

I am a strong believer in ibogaine, which is one of the reasons why @ataibeckley acquired the residual interest in its ibogaine program in Q4 2023 and now owns it 100%. I’m very encouraged to see the administration taking a positive public stance on this important topic. Ibogaine and other psychedelic therapies deserve greater attention - I believe they have the potential to improve the lives of millions.
