@DrMBotha I appreciated their citation of this article (nature.com/articles/s4156…) by @floswald_ bc it fits with my experiences with well-meaning but potentially harmful ways that similar statements may be experienced by marginalized researchers

I see this a lot as an editor and peer reviewer now that the tide is turning and involvement is considered favourable. To get around it, people word involvement statements so vaguely, and babble for a full paragraph, which usually means they haven't involved autistic people!

Takeaway: Bodies are cool and we need better (and especially more diverse! body stimuli. We hope this paper can help people find existing body stimuli, and inspire new developments toward better body research!

Generally, most stimuli were not freely available, and a lot didn't indicate any availability even upon request. We discuss issues w/ research waste and reproducibility...(4/5)
