Words are interchangeable. This debate is just about semantics. The real question is:
Is Islam a feminist religion? All are equal in Islam, but there are differences in privileges granted depending on gender.
Are the women in most Muslim countries living pro-feminist lives? Marc is not a feminist. He's a father & a husband that support girls & women getting educations, being leaders, & getting equal pay. That's just commonsense, not feminism.
Those labels sound good & make women who have never been denied anything based on their gender feel good. It's an American privilege for a Muslim to call himself a feminist. Only in America can a person be anything they want to be!
