For 47 years, politicians looked the other way while Iran destabilized the region and threatened the world. Not President Trump. He’s once again poised to do the impossible. He forced a ceasefire that begins opening the Strait of Hormuz and puts real pressure on Iran to come to the table. That’s good for America, our allies, and the world. Peace through strength.

We went out to dinner with a group of five, and by the end of the night the bill was right around $577 and change. When it came time to pay, we left a $60 tip because we felt like that was a fair amount and wanted to leave something extra for the service. What I didn’t expect was the server making a comment that she was expecting closer to $120. And no, it didn’t come across like some light little joke either. The tone felt serious, the moment got awkward fast, and suddenly we were standing there feeling uncomfortable over a tip we had already chosen to leave in the first place. When we pushed back and mentioned possibly talking to a manager, that’s when the story suddenly changed to “I was just kidding.” But let’s be real — not every rude comment magically becomes a joke just because someone gets called out on it. The whole thing left us feeling weird and honestly kind of embarrassed, because we weren’t trying to short anybody. We tipped what we thought was reasonable, and being confronted like that completely changed the vibe of the night. So now I’m curious — was $60 on a $577 bill really that unreasonable, or would most people also think asking for $120 was way out of line?🙄🙄 By Martha Barker

@starks2765 @UziCryptoo Not necessarily. Income tax pays for state and federal government, sales tax and property taxes more used at the local levels. As a citizen I think good locals schools and paved roads are needed.

Just paid the property tax on the 10 acres I own FREE & CLEAR and I can't describe the amount of rage I feel inside. Property tax should end when you own the land. Period.

@UziCryptoo After paying sales tax for a house we bought, making payments for 13 years with money that had already been taxed, plus 13 years of property tax, we paid $31K capital gains tax when we sold it. I feel violated.

Do people actually think they need to bring passports & marriage certificates to vote? You’re already registered. If the name & address on your ID matches your current voter registration, there’s nothing else to do. The docs are only required to register.
