For the lovers of truth, this is the exact translation of what he said in English:
In the video, Ibrahim Traore is talking about a recent census his government conducted regarding young people from Burkina Faso who went to study in certain Arab countries.
He mentions that they counted over 800 individuals. What worries him is that no one knew they left the country. Even the embassies in those foreign countries had no idea they were there.
When he checked their files, he found out that every single one of them is studying Sharia, Islamic law, and Islamic jurisprudence. Not a single person out of the 800 is learning a practical trade or profession.
Traore questions their motives and asks if they plan to come back to apply Sharia law in Burkina Faso.
Because of this, he says it is very important to control who leaves the country. He declares that he will bring all these students back home. If anyone refuses to return, they will lose their citizenship and will no longer be considered Burkinabè.
He then addresses the local imams directly. He tells them that if they cannot teach the youth about Islam right there in the country, they should stop. He recognizes that many people are lured abroad by foreign funding.
To fix this, he promises that the government will create a budget to fund all local religions. Whether they are Catholics, Protestants, traditionalists, or Muslims, the state will find a formula to support them so they do not have to rely on foreign money.
He ends his speech by making it clear he will never allow this kind of foreign influence to continue. He even says that if anyone only supported him hoping for religious favoritism, they should withdraw their support immediately.

What I am fighting for, which many of you have ignored, is the curses on me and my parents.

Nothing screams “I have no counterargument” quite like reducing every woman who disagrees with you to “divorcee” or “single mother.” You saw women disagreeing with you and somehow concluded that the problem must be that they’re divorced or single mothers. As if those words should embarrass anyone. What’s next? Widows too? It’s almost as if you believe a woman’s value begins and ends with having a husband. The irony is that many of the same people throwing these labels around have divorced women and single mothers in their own families. Mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, cousins, whom they would never publicly shame. Yet it’s somehow acceptable to use those same labels to belittle women they don’t know online. Being divorced or a single mother isn’t a character flaw or an insult. Many women didn’t choose those circumstances, and even those who did had every right to make the best decision for themselves.
