I will tell you something about my years deployed to Middle Eastern countries. What you see on TV and in the news is exactly factual with no spin. I will also tell you that as a former military member who witnessed the enemy killing indiscriminately, beheading living people, and ignoring the law of armed conflict, fighting is asymmetrical. Only smug Americans who have never witnessed these actions have an opinion about decency, humanity, and restraint. Anyone who does not believe that the current conflict with Iran is not only long overdue, but necessary to prevent the next mass casualty of American lives is an absolute uniformed puppet easily influenced by media and short minded in how asymmetrical conflict truly is in the battlefield. It’s like getting jumped in a dark alley by criminals and wanting to have a rules discussion with the criminals before the attack where you end up dead. Iran wants peace…lie. The JPCOA prevented Iran from developing long range missiles and their nuclear program from advancing….lie. Iran can be trusted not to attack Muslim neighbors because their religion is one of peace and solidarity in the Muslim world…lie. A religion and ethnic people can exist on this earth and Iran will not sponsor or directly perform terrorism to erase millions of people….lie. Dumb Americans believe the outcome of this effort will not result in a new Middle East where peace has a chance and our kids will bear the fruit of the effort we put in for their future. Dumb Americans will believe a news organization for 22 minutes of spin while watching commercials for reverse mortgages , lying politicians who become millionaires in three years, and new drugs to help you lose weight because doing the work is too hard or beyond their scope of effort. Those same dumb Americans will believe ICE agents are Nazis for enforcing the laws on the books for decades and ignore that the politicians demonizing them and working you up were in power for years and could have passed legislation making the ICE enforcement illegal. But they didn’t. Puppets. Dumb Americans are mad because someone told them to be and they cannot for a minute see logic that what is happening is neither illegal nor was it prevented by their so called political heroes. All military members who have seen the intelligence, watched our brothers and sisters get attacked and killed solely because of IRGC support, and know that all of the Muslim Gulf nations are now united in standing up militarily to Iran is the greatest shift in our lifetime toward peace can tell you this is required. I saw the pictures of Solemaini standing on the decapitated head of Syrian rebels. I was there when he was struck and witnessed the IRANIAN response. I saw the dynamic shift on the battlefield and the safety we gained by standing up and defeating these salifist religious fucks. This isn’t just about women. This is about humanity for millions of people all over the world and retaliating against the power dynamic in the shithole of earth that has tormented peace loving nations for 47 years. I raise a glass to anyone who is willing to fight for the future and safety of America and our kids…that means any country, culture, and religion. To those who support Iran and do not understand there have been decades of actions and diplomacy that purple haired sign carriers failed to learn about history , well I say get involved by going to see for yourself. And I TERMINATED that agreement as soon as I came to office." For those who deal with facts, Obama kept Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Trump tore up the JCPOA agreement that Obama signed, which then allowed them to get closer to a nuclear weapon before he bombed them.

I've seen the back-and-forth on requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register and vote in federal elections—like what's in the current SAVE America Act debate—and I wanted to lay out why the opposition to it strikes me as logically inconsistent, in a way that's worth discussing civilly. The main Democratic argument (as laid out recently by Sen. Durbin and others) is that this requirement would knock millions of eligible Americans off the voter rolls. They point out that not everyone has a passport or birth certificate sitting in a drawer—estimates suggest around 21 million voting-age citizens might need to track one down—and that this creates an unfair burden, especially for lower-income folks, the elderly, or certain communities. Fair point to raise: access to documents matters. No one wants to make it genuinely harder for real citizens to vote. But here's what consistently gets left out of that argument, and why it feels one-sided: without any documentary proof requirement, registering to vote is basically an honor-system check. You sign a form swearing you're a citizen under penalty of perjury. That's it for most states. No ID, no birth cert, no passport needed upfront. Now flip it: For a legitimate U.S. citizen, proving citizenship is straightforward and achievable. You can use a birth certificate (obtainable from your state vital records office—many states offer low- or no-cost copies), a U.S. passport, naturalization papers, or even a REAL ID driver's license in states that already verify citizenship when issuing them. These are the exact same documents required for things like getting a passport, flying internationally, or qualifying for Social Security and Medicaid. States routinely help people get them when needed. It's not zero effort for everyone, but it's a one-time thing that's doable for citizens—because they are citizens. For a non-citizen? Proving you are a U.S. citizen is literally impossible without forging documents. You can't produce valid proof if it doesn't exist. That's the asymmetry no one on the "this disenfranchises voters" side ever seems to address head-on. The system as it stands makes it easy for an ineligible person to slip through (just check the box and hope no one audits), while making it slightly more involved—but still feasible—for citizens to confirm eligibility. This isn't about "suppressing" anyone who's here legally and eligible. It's basic security: elections are the foundation of our democracy, and verifying the most fundamental qualification (citizenship) at the registration stage is common sense in almost every other context where identity and eligibility matter. If the concern is truly access, why not pair proof requirements with free, easy document assistance programs instead of opposing the safeguard outright? I'd genuinely love to hear thoughtful counterpoints from anyone—especially my liberal friends—on why the focus stays so heavily on the (fixable) burden for citizens, while downplaying the obvious risk on the other side.

I am heading to DC to vote HELL YES on the Iran War Powers resolution.
