It’s just as messed up when you are that kid, but now you’re in your mid 20’s, and can’t shop around for different hopes and dreams. This was once the lucky country 🇦🇺.
Most of your friends are still stuck at home, or are in the middle of a mental heath crisis, or worse, have unalived themselves from the 2019 lockdowns. Fast forward a few years , now all of the universities are full of foreign competition. Imagine knowing that when these young people graduate at the same time as you, no one will be hiring you for a multitude of reasons.
1. You’re not from a rich country and therefore are now outdated, less educated, and less qualified for the job
2. The amount of people coming from rich countries + no infrastructure or new jobs = mass unemployment of Australians and mass replacement of young Australians.
How are you older generations not pissed about that? Your kids will never give you grandchildren, and the crazy part is, we WANT to give you them.
A basic grocery shop in Australia robs you of the *only* opportunity you have, to work hard, and save for a home deposit and have a family before your retirement.
It’s either:
1. Eat like dog 💩 to save money and destroy your body so that you’re forced to retire young in a house that you are still paying off
2. Oh, wait…. Yeah that doesn’t work.
Do you understand- the socioeconomic torture that young people have to continue to endure, from 2019-present? That is 8 years of PTSD, older generations able to recover from equity and wealth. 8 years in and we will see young people with skyrocketing heart and cholesterol issues as a result of chronic high stress.
We are told that Gen Z are ‘stuck up and ignorant’ and ‘all they do is vote for the greenis’ when in actual fact, they have lost all hope, and don’t see why they should contribute to a society that literally blocks them from moving in any direction. How can you blame them?
Can’t shop around when you’ve already been sold out, and to the very people that come to our country.
Yours in faith,
Apparently a racist; but actually just a Gen Z
