It is a real question. I wasn’t claiming “Hispanic” is a monolith, or that skin color defines culture. I was asking why some people who share an immigrant background express hostility toward other immigrants — a pattern that’s clearly showing up in this thread. If the answer is “this has always existed across groups,” that’s actually a useful response. But jumping straight to insults is just childish. This question didn’t come out of nowhere either — there are studies showing that Hispanics, as a group, are more opposed to immigration than any other racial group in the U.S. That contradiction is worth discussing, not dismissing.

Genuine question, not bait: How did we get to a point where some Hispanics are hostile toward other brown immigrants? I’m genuinely curious to hear from actual Hispanics on how this shift happened and what’s driving it.
