Let me start with Jai Shri Krishna,
From my observation, I don’t think Hindus dislike anyone for being an “Outsider-Hindu” (using this term just for the sake of conversation). I believe the concern is more with ISKCON as an institution rather than individuals.
We are not a “one God–one book” people and “ WE CERTAINLY DON’T WANT TO BECOME ONE”. We believe in the supremacy of Shri Krishna, Mahadev (Shiva), Jagdamba or Shri Ram—each is equally divine and complete.
However, ISKCON often presents Shri Krishna as the only universal God and positions their spiritual leaders (Maharajas) almost like prophets.
In my locality, an ISKCON temple is built. They installed two statues of Shri Vishnu at the gate, as gatekeepers, while Shri Krishna was placed as the main idol inside the temple. This positioning suggested a hierarchy—Shri Vishnu outside and Krishna inside—which might go unnoticed by many, but it can be seen by those who observe closely.
Look at this Shlok from Harihar Stotra :
“Śivāya Viṣṇurūpāya Śivarūpāya Viṣṇave ।
Śivarūpa Dhṛk Viṣṇave Śivāya Namo Namaḥ ॥
शिवाय विष्णुरूपाय शिवरूपाय विष्णवे।
शिवरूपधृक् विष्णवे शिवाय नमो नमः॥
🔹 Meaning:
Salutations to Shiva, who has assumed the form of Vishnu, and to Vishnu, who has assumed the form of Shiva. To Vishnu, who holds the form of Shiva, and to Shiva—salutations again and again.
